Steps to Scholastic SuccessTM Slide Shows are easy-to-use educational CDs designed to help students in grades 3 - 8 learn essential vocabulary and content needed to succeed in school.
The slide shows on each CD are correlated to National and State Standards.
The slide shows present essential vocabulary and knowledge needed for success in school in a fun and interactive format so that students can use the program at home or in the classroom.

Directions to Navigate through PowerPointR Slide Shows
- Use your Mouse (Left Click) or Keyboard (Press Enter, Page Down, Right Arrow, Down Arrow, or Spacebar) to go to the next animation or slide.
- Use your Keyboard (Press Page Up, Left Arrow, Up Arrow, or Backspace) to go to previous animation or slide.
- Press Slide Number + Enter to go to a particular slide.
- Press Esc to end the slide show.
- Press E to erase annotations. (See pen option below.)
Directions to Use the Pen Option of PowerPointR
Kids REALLY like this option! It works especially well with the matching exercises and can also be used for other activities such as word searches, fill ins, etc.
- RIGHT click on the mouse to open the Presentation toolbar.
- Choose "Pointer Options".
- Choose a pen style (and color) and your mouse will become a pen that you can click and drag on the slides to write or draw an annotation.
- Choose eraser to erase your annotations when you are done (or press E on the keyboard).
- Choose the arrow to return to your normal mouse pointer.

- Microsoft PowerPoint or Internet to install *Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer
- 512 MB RAM
- 1024 x 768 screen resolution

slide shows created with Microsoft PowerPoint software even if they do
not have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on their computers.
Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer can be installed to a computer (PC or MAC) from the
